[ATrpms-users] (nvidia-kmdl) API mismatch: the client has the version 100.14.11 ...

I have seen this problem mentioned before but I don't think I have seen a
resolution that would work for me. I get the messages similar to the
following on boot:

NVRM: API mismatch: the client has the version 100.14.11, but
NVRM: this kernel module has the version 100.14.09. Please
NVRM: make sure that this kernel module and all NVIDIA driver
NVRM: components have the same version.

since I upgraded to nvidia-kmdl version 100.14.09 and then 100.14.11. If I
set runlevel 3 and start X after boot I don't get the message and it seems
that the versions match correctly.

What I *think* is happening is that rhgb is loading the wrong nvidia module
version and then when X starts I get the mismatch. I cannot see a way to
force rhgb to load a specific version. If I remove the rpm for 100.14.09 I
get a conflict with a different version of nvidia (I have several nvidia-kmdl
rpm versions loaded). I have used nvidia-graphics-switch to select the
correct version, rebooted and my modprobe.conf has the alias for 100.14.11.

Other than removing all other nvidia-kmdl versions, any suggestions?

TIA!!
