In /etc/sysconfig/kernel you can set which kernel is going to be the
default:
# UPDATEDEFAULT specifies if new-kernel-pkg should make
# new kernels the default
UPDATEDEFAULT=yes <------------- put no here, to keep the previous one
# DEFAULTKERNEL specifies the default kernel package type
DEFAULTKERNEL=kernel
