[ATrpms-users] lt_modem problem

i converted one of my neighbor's boxes to centos 4.4 yesterday.  grabbed
smart and installed:

ltmodem-8.31a10-8.el4.at 
ltmodem-kmdl-2.6.9-42.0.2.EL-8.el4.at

[hand copied and then typed here at home, but i think they're right]

but, there is apparently a problem in lt_serial.*

i get the error:

lt_serial: unknown symbol sercons_escape_char

so, of course, the modem can't be used.

this guy's a dedicated cheap-dialup type, so conversion to a broadband
connection isn't an option.

any ideas?
