The current worst feature of smart is its slow speed, especially when
doing disto-upgrades, e.g. more than 500-1000 package updates. But the
upcoming smart (0.50) is going to improve this from minutes to seconds
(at least that's what people report on the smart list about the
release candidate). So I'd check on smart with 0.50's release.
