I just installed the latest FC6 Suspend2 kernel which works fine until I
try to suspend:
[jguerdat at toshiba ~]$ sudo hibernate
hibernate: WARNING: Filewriter location given, but kernel does not have
filewriter
hibernate: support. Ignoring.

The grub entry looks like this (which is identical to the working but
older kernel - 2.6.18-2798):
title Fedora Core (2.6.18-1.2849_1.fc6.cubbi_suspend2)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-1.2849_1.fc6.cubbi_suspend2 ro
root=LABEL=/ quiet resume2=file:/dev/sda2:0xd0000 vga=0x317
video=i810fb:vram:2,xres:1024,yres=768,bpp:24,hsync1:30,hsync2:49,vsync1:40,vsync2:70,accel,mtrr
hdc=noprobe
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.18-1.2849_1.fc6.cubbi_suspend2.img
As noted in the message above, I have 3 services restarted in
common.conf - VMware, cpuspeed and automount.
I'm guessing that the filewriter support was somehow left out unless
this means that this support is now removed...
