Thanks a lot, Axel. I was able to burn an iso DVD image, and play both
it and the dvd burned from it in xine. The menus did things that looked
sensible :-)
But then things began to go wrong and I really must leave the system
alone for a few days to get other things done. I had done today's
complete upgrade (in FC5), and when I tried to play the dvd in the myth
internal player it looked for lib XvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1 and silently
quit the frontend. After a logout I couldn't get anything
nvidia-related to work and I'm currently using my default version of
xorg.conf
I had upgraded earlier to 9626 and was using it, but hadn't uninstalled
8776 which was upgraded today.
So: many thanks, again, for all your efforts, but I'm intending to be
offline for a few days now. Please update the myth ticket when you
think it's appropriate.
