Have you tried with smart? Sometimes yum is confused is such
situations, but apt and yum cope quite well (usually).

Sure. Not only between repos, but within the repos and within FC6
itself (you can see the flurry of daily updates). This is normal for
the first weeks of an FC distro and probably it is better this time
than at other times since some repos including freshrpms and atrpms
had been supporting FC6 from rawhide state.

Yes, that's still the intention. Anything pointing otherwise should be
filed into bugzilla.atrpms.net under one of the repos and the other
repo's maintainer should be put into Cc.

I would first start using smart and maybe it's already fixed, if not,
then smart can still let you explicitly choose what you consider best.
