what does resolving mean, DNS resolving? E.g. does your system return

Yes, it does. 160.45.32.86

No, I don't use those at all. I first discovered this by just trying to
update my MythTV box via smart (actual command was "smart update") I then
proceeded to check via my web browser (Firefox 1.5.0.3) and lastly via the
traceroute command (via a terminal).
The odd thing about all this is that I accessed atrpms.net early yesterday
morning with no problems. No changes were made on my end just prior to
losing contact with atrpms.net, and I definitely did not change any of my
open/blocked ports on my hardware router.
If it helps, I can give you my IP?
