[ATrpms-users] atrpms X packages for via epia vs mythtv

I'm using the atrpms X packages, which I believe include the unichrome
or openchrome drivers. Using mythtv (126, so it's not related to the
problems others have reported) with Via Xvmc selected mostly works.
The exception is that when I play back at above normal speed
(typically 1.15) I see artifacts in the bottom third of the screen,
mostly in the form of single colour blocks. I guess these only last
for one frame as they come and go very quickly. This is repeatable, so
if I watch a recording for 5 minutes I'll see it, but not predictable
(so I don't have a screen shot).

Has anyone else seen this? Could anyone hazard a guess whether it's a
myth or X problem?

The other issue I have with this is regarding opengl - the performance
is rubbish. With glxgears i'm getting numbers in the low 10s (compared
to high 100s with my nvidia card on another system). Is there anything
I can do to improved this?
