Well, that makes sort of sense. I get the same error reporting for both 
kernels so there are no additional issues I think.

But, if the driver works and it's not kernel related I wonder why I can't get 
anything to work (not even WEP works). Perhaps acpi, my hardware etc...
I remember I had a similar issue once on FC4 and it was solved without me 
knowing the root cause. At that time I only booted into a windows a few times 
and back to Linux and wireless suddenly worked.
I've been using madwifi ever since until the FC5 upgrade. In windows it still 
works of course.
