[ATrpms-users] ivtv x86_64 and 2.6.17

Well, as much as I try, 2.6.17 will not boot on 2.6.17 (either 2139 or
2141) on an x86_64 (uni and smp).

After a lot of hacking, I found out that the problem is ivtv.  This
crash happens on boot up and does not go further.

Anyone else experiencing this?  Is there a way I can debug this?

On a related note, do we really need video4linux any more?  Should not
this material be in the kernel?  Could this be my conflict?  Earlier it
crept in as a requirement for ivtv, but I do not see it there any more.

In addition to a pvr150 and pvr250, I also have a pchdtv3000 for which I
need cx88_dvb and cx88_blackbird.
