For a less frenetic update schedule and a more stable platform, try Red
Hat Enterprise Linux or one of the free rebuilds like CentOS, White Box,
or Scientific Linux.  Axel and many of the other Fedora-compatible repos
support the RHEL family as well.  The down-side is slower support of new
hardware and new features.
