Yes, that's correct. On FC2 mplayer is neither using xvmc, nor v4l2,
e.g. built with --without xvmv and --without v4l2. I can't recall what
the problem was, but the decision was a conscious one, some was broken.
What I havn't checked is whether the latest mplayer fixed this. You
can try building it with xvmc enabled on FC2 and see whether it does
work, but chances are that it doesn't.
I'd recommend upgrading from FC2 to a new FC version anyway.
