The BuildRequires of the package/specfile should cater for all
required bits otherwise it would not had build at ATrpms in the first
place (the environment is gathered from the package's BuildRequires
and only these and their dependencies are installed).

So you can't have less than what ATrpms had installed in its
chroots. (?)

Do you have a different enviroment (upgrade xorg to something outside
of Fedora Core's updates etc)?

Can you take a look at the configure output? It looks like
libX11-devel or similar is missing.

BTW why do you need a rebuild? Is this anything more people will
benefit (w/o sacrificing anything for the rest)?

BTW2 such a thread is probably better on atrpms-devel, I'll leave it
to you whether you'd like to move it there.
