[ATrpms-users] lirc module not loading at boot!

Hello, I have been using myth from atrpms for some time now, and going
as far back as Fedora 3 and my old bttv WinTV Go card I have never
gotten the lirc module to load at boot.

I have followed Jarod's guide to the letter and still no load.

The ivtv modules are now loading at boot and below is my modprobe.conf
file and a description of my system.

Linux 2.6.14-1.1656_FC4
Athlon XP 1800+
768 Mb RAM
Radeon 9000 64Mb graphics adapter
Aureal Semiconductor AU8810 Vortex sound card
Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 tuner/capture card

Contents of modprobe.conf

alias eth0 tulip
alias snd-card-0 snd-au8810
options snd-card-0 index=0
options snd-au8810 index=0
remove snd-au8810 { /usr/sbin/alsactl store 0 >/dev/null 2>&1 || : ;
}; /sbin/modprobe -r --ignore-remove snd-au8810
alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c
alias char-major-81 ivtv
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
alias tveeprom tveeprom-ivtv
alias tuner tuner-ivtv
alias msp3400 msp3400-ivtv
install lirc_i2c /sbin/modprobe ivtv; /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install lirc_i2c
alias usb-controller uhci-hcd
alias usb-controller1 ehci-hc

If I just restart the system and do not perform a "modprobe lirc_i2c"
then lircd will fail to start and the remote will not work.

Aside from ATRPMS for myth, lirc, alsa, and ivtv this is a stock
fedora 4 install with all of the latest updates.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

John
