Perhaps, there are similar issues with ivtv hardware (even needs to
stay >= 30 seconds turned off).

The problem with the yum plugin is that yum only calls it if yum found
out that the conventional depsolving found something else to
upgrade/install. So if you have a fully updated system and the kmdls
get uploaded, a yum update will not trigger the plugin.
