No kmods/dkms in use on the system - only your kmdls.

At work now - will check a,b,d when I get home tonight.  Meanwhile, I
did try the dual-boot installation of WindozeXP to make sure there were
no hardware/misconfiguration issues.  WiFi works fine with the Redmond
OS.
