I've done both (and just re-did them just in case). The sound is fine
with either version of alsa-lib (FC6 core or ATrpms update) as long as I
don't use the kernel module. This is true of both the Redhat kernels as
well as the Suspend2 kernels from ATrpms.
Now if I can just get the damned i810 video driver to display TV out on
S-video in a different resolution than the 1280x800 of the laptop's LCD...
