I'd also do it that way, becuase it is the fastest. anaconda may break
some dependencies, especially such from kmdls, but then just add smart
in again and do a smart fix.
Personally, while I make sure that all ATrpms packages have proper
upgrade paths, I prefer to reinstall from scratch whenever possible
instead of upgrading. That has the benefit of not carrying old baggage
around that was considered deprecated from one release to the next
(direct replacements using Obsoletes: are no issue, but for example
openoffice would not Obsolete: abiword and the like).
