You can grab the src.rpm and see what the last revision was. Then you
need to svn diff the part from the subversion and replace the fixes
patch with it.

For a packager this is not difficult, but if this is your first
attempt on modification of packages it may well be.

But it would be better to report to the mythtv list, maybe the issue
is known and fixed. If you get a positive feedback that this was
broken and fixed now, you can kick me to rebuild packages. :)
(feedback needs to come from a trustworty source, e.g. a mythtv
developer, because there will be many people just suggesting upgrading
w/o knowing whether this issue is fixed)
