Hi Axel

As a side note, is their a way to either keep older modules available
for a longer period of time or to provide older version of some
modules for new kernels?

To give you an example.
I recently upgraded my FC5 with the video4linux kmdl , unfortunately
the new version CVS end of July crashes a lot.
So I tried to go back to the previous version of kmdl but it didn't
exist (fair enough you only compile current version for new kernel)

So instead I went back to an earlier kernel, unfortunately the kmdl
that I had installed previously wasn't available anymore and yum
didn't cache the rpm file... so I was stuck ... luckily I had another
machine where I changed the default yum settings and did keep the rpm
