[ATrpms-users] Mythtv mute again after 0.19-130.rhfc5 upgrade

Starting the new version of mythtv immediately after a reboot, with 
ALSA:default selected and going to 'watch_tv', I get

Sound is available direct from the 'video' input to Kmix - not in
sync with the picture - but not through the 'capture' input.

On a second entry to 'watch_tv' the tv window is black and the terminal
shows

after 20000 msec

The tv window then fails to respond normally to 'close' commands, and a
reboot command hangs with a black screen (but active cursor) until
a second 'reboot'  is issued via (eg) the ctrl/alt/f6 terminal.

mplayer has been giving similar trouble, reporting on exit an 
interruption in module ao2_init.  It has just played one file after a 
reboot, but hung on second entry.

Any ideas, please?  I have tried reinstalling v4l etc but the behaviour 
was much the same; I've also deactivated selinux and sshd during the 
tests and the system logs look cleaner afterwards.
