[ATrpms-users] Transcode+ffmpeg producing out of sync audio

Using transcode-1.0.0-18.rhfc4.at and
ffmpeg-0.4.9-10_cvs20050612.rhfc4.at, I'm getting out of sync audio on
both xvid4 and ffmpeg/mpeg4 streams. I'm using the perl-Video-DVDRip
package to call transcode for me.

It's about a half-second mismatch in sync, most easily noticable when
observing dialog. The audio is leading the video. It seems to get
slightly worse the further you get into the avi.

I've selected 96kbps mp3 audio and "0 - best" compression, the output
is supposed to be a 700mb avi file. I just used the defaults for frame
size and clipping.

This yields the following transcode command:

transcode -Y 4,0,4,0 -s 2.643 -w 790,50 -i
/data/rips/SomeMovie/vob/001 -y ffmpeg -M 2 --print_status 20 -F
mpeg4 --a52_drc_off --accel 3dnow -B 15,10,8 -x vob -b 96,0,0 -a 0 -H
10 -o /data/rips/SomeMovie/avi/001/SomeMovie-001.avi -f 24,1

It should be noted that mplayer spits out the following notice when
playing the avi:

"Movie-Aspect is 1.82:1 - prescaling to correct movie aspect."

Dunno if its possible if the prescaling code is broken in mplayer..
For that I'm using mplayer-1.0-46_pre7.rhfc4.at.

Is anyone else noticing these issues? Is it perhaps specific to my
options for some reason? Note that I did have to throw in the '--accel
3dnow' switch to avoid a segfault, as described here:
