[ATrpms-users] hostap problem with FC4 1532 kernel

I've been successfully using hostap with Fedora Core 4 on the following
setup for some time:
IBM T-21 with Netgear MA401RA wireless card
However, I have not been able to get the wireless to work with either
the new 2.6.13-1.1526 or 1532 kernels. The 2.6.12-1.14xx kernels did
work for wireless (but had ACPI problems) so I'm currently using the
12-1.1398 kernel as it seems to be the last version where everything
works for me.
Anyway, with the 1526/1532 kernels, I get the message that "hostap_cs
device wlan0 does not seem to be present. Delaying initialization."
Cardctl ident correctly identifies the Netgear card. Looking at dmesg,
it shows the following error message: "pcmcia: hostap_cs lacks a
requisite callback function." The hostap modules are loaded when I run
lsmod, but it seems that wlan0 just doesn't exist.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the appropriate hostap-kmdl rpm from
atrpms to no avail. There is a lot of talk about the 2.6.13 kernel
handling pcmcia differently than the 2.6.12 and prior kernels, but I
haven't seen anything suggested on this email list or other places that
seems to fix the problem.
Anyone have a clue or suggestion?
