It is quite possible that what you downloaded first was the "buggy" 
package(s). Axel said new versions would be up very soon. I would have to 
agree with Axel that the only alternative right now (especially since you 
don't have a working system already) is to wait for a package that fixes the 
dependency problems. Hopefully, it will happen soon.
