[ATrpms-users] kernels -nt 2.6.10-1.770_FC3 cause system to lock
when loading bt878 module

Hi.
On my mythtv backend system running FC3 (using an optimized mythtv rpm
rebuilt from atrpms source, not that I expect that to matter), attempting
to boot with any kernel newer than 2.6.10-1.770_FC3 will cause the system
to lock hard (requiring big red button) when the bt878 module is loaded.
I'm asking here because the behaviour starts at
kernel-2.6.10-1.770_14.rhfc3.at and newer. Darn near the same kernel,
right? I've looked at a diff of the config files from both kernel sources
and although I'm certainly no expert on the matter, I can't see anything
that stands out as being a likely culprit.
The BT878 device in question here is a Twinhan 1020 (Red) DVB-S card. When
the card is removed all is well. I've tried installing the
linuxtv-dvb-kmdl appropriate for the kernel I'm trying and no difference.
I've got a few of these Twinhan cards and swapping them and the slot that
they are in does not seem to matter.
Can anyone offer any advise?
