I still can't connect. Even when I disable encryption it is impossible.
I spend so many hours no wtrying to connect and since people using madwifi 
successful I guess maybe it's a hardware issue.
Perhaps it's an issue with my Acer WLAN-G-PC1 card under linux that causes my 
frustration.
I will check on that and if so buy another card that is supposed to work in 
Linux.
If I can't find find anything about it, I will probably give up as it's taking 
me too much time to set up. It's simply not worth the hassle and I'll go back 
to using a cable again.
