The problem is that the TV out really has a max. of 1024x768, so I think 
you should not clone the main (analog) desktop.

You could set up TwinView to have one big desktop, where you can move 
the mouse and windows from one to the other.

Or you set up a seperate X display on vt9 for example for the TV, that 
is started on demand (when starting mythfrontend). But then you only 
have the TV *or* the monitor active (you switch between those two with 
CTRL-ALT-F7/F9).

The latter is what I use, because I do not need MythTV often on my 
working PC. But I heard that you loose 3D acceleration when using 
TwinView, so I don't.
