There is a problem with one of the dependencies for mplayer, which is a
dependency of mythvideo and myth-mkmovie (the something else you referred
to). mplayer is dependent on a via unichrome XvMC lib that is only in
bleeding, I believe. For the moment, you can work around this by installing
mplayer from Dag's repo, or just wait for a fix here.
Axel, I haven't looked into this one beyond figuring out what the root
dependency issue is. I see the unichrome xorg stuff is now in stable, but for
some reason, apt isn't finding that it provides the needed libviaxvmc.so...
