[ATrpms-users] Couldn't find package Synaptic

I have now installed FC3 three times following the guidelines given at:
http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/fcmyth.php

Doing an install of the ATrpms-kickstart like this:
# rpm -Uvh
http://atrpms.net/dist/fc3/atrpms-kickstart/atrpms-kickstart-25-1.rhfc3.at.i
386.rpm

Followed by successful update/ugrades:
# apt-get update
# apt-get dist-upgrade

I move on trying to install Synaptic:
# apt-get install synaptic

But this results in an error message "Couldn't find package Synaptic".

Despite of a problem free install (until this point), I tried to run these
commands as suggested by Jarod:
# rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
# rpm -vv --rebuilddb

But nothing seems to help :-(( And having installed FC3 from scratch three
consequtive times the last two days makes me feel a bit lost!
