Ok, I tried that. This is what I have installed now:

[mark at tedeum ~]$ rpm -qa | grep nvidia
nvidia-graphics-helpers-0.0.8-8.at
nvidia-graphics6111-libs-1.0_6111-65.1.rhfc3.at
nvidia-graphics6111-1.0_6111-65.1.rhfc3.at
nvidia-graphics6106-libs-1.0_6106-65.1.rhfc3.at
nvidia-graphics6111-kmdl-2.6.10-1.770_14.rhfc3.at-1.0_6111-65.1.rhfc3.at
nvidia-graphics-devices-1.0-4.rhfc3.at
nvidia-graphics4363-libs-1.0_4363-65.1.rhfc3.at

(I find it strange that apt-get installs all the different *-lib
versions. Why is that?)

modprobe:ing the older kernel module gives me:

[root at tedeum ~]$ /sbin/modprobe nvidia-1_0-6111
FATAL: Error inserting nvidia_1_0_6111
(/lib/modules/2.6.10-1.770_14.rhfc3.at/updates/drivers/video/nvidia/nvidia-1_0-6111.ko):

Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

And demsg:

nvidia: Unknown symbol __VMALLOC_RESERVE
nvidia: Unknown symbol pci_find_class

What am I missing?

     /Markus
