It's not the work involved that I fear. It's the stability of the kernel
and ivtv.

As I said in another thread, I did not succeed with the bleeding QT in a
VMware installation of FC1. I ended up with an installation, where
kdemultimedia cannot be installed anymore.
What about my other suggestion I mailed to you about installing QT 3.3
in parallel to 3.1, only for MythTV use and linking MythTV against that?
That would leave the OS alone and prevent the need for installing
redhat-artwork from FC2 and reinstalling KDE.
