Hi all,

While not being that new to Linux and computers in general, I am rather
new to apt and the like - please forgive me if this is entirely my fault:

I try to get a PVR150 up and running, chasing info on Jarods site,
mythtv mailing lists, ivtv archives, and here... :)

Currently, I am running

[root at mythtv ivtv]# uname -r
2.6.10-1.760_FC3

and am now trying to install the most recent ivtv from atrpms (following
the info I found at
http://lists.atrpms.net/pipermail/atrpms-users/2005-January/002100.html):

[root at mythtv ivtv]# apt-get install ivtv=1:0.3.2c
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Selected version 1:0.3.2c-66.rhfc3.at for ivtv
The following extra packages will be installed:
   ivtv ivtv-kmdl-2.6.10-1.737_FC3 kernel#2.6.10-1.737_FC3
The following NEW packages will be installed:
   ivtv ivtv-kmdl-2.6.10-1.737_FC3 kernel#2.6.10-1.737_FC3
0 upgraded, 3 newly installed, 0 removed and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 178kB/17.0MB of archives.
After unpacking 45.9MB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n] n
Abort.

No, I don,t want to go with kernel#2.6.10-1.737_FC3, especially since

[root at mythtv ivtv]# apt-cache search ivtv
[...]
ivtv-kmdl-2.6.10-1.760_FC3 - IVTV kernel drivers.

Am I missing something here, or is there a requirement for ivtv=1:0.3.2c
to not have 2.6.10-1.760_FC3 installed, or am I too blond? :)

BTW: Anyone have a link to the docs of a successful Myth-PVR150-install
with rpms? I have tested more modprobe.conf-settings this weekend than I
would care for... :)

TIA for a hint,

greets, tobi...
