[ATrpms-users] apt-get dist-upgrade wants to trash my system

I've just done a CD upgrade of FC2 to FC3. I took the upgrade option
rather than blow everything away and start again. Following the
upgrade I updated my sources.list and ran "apt-get update" and then
"apt-get dist-upgrade -f" to fix some dependency issues with some of
the packages.
Now whenever I try to run "apt-get dist-upgrade" it comes back saying
that some essential packages will be removed, and do I really want to
go ahead. It says 2 will be upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 replaced,
355 removed and 1 not upgraded.
What's going on? Have I done something seriously wrong here? I thought
doing a CD upgrade would be the safest way.
Regards,
Phill
