dist-upgrading kernel-module fether packages (like ivtv) confuse apt
and it randomly pulls a kernel-module possibly for another kernel (and
thus pulls the kernel, too).

Do your upgrading with

apt-get install kernel-module-foo-`uname -r`

instead.
