I am attempting to get and install the ivtv kernel modules on my Fedora Core
2 setup. I am running the following kernel:

[root at mythtv root]# uname -r

2.6.7-1.456_4.rhfc2.at

[root at mythtv root]# uname -a

Linux mythtv 2.6.7-1.456_4.rhfc2.at #1 Sun Jun 27 04:16:19 EDT 2004 i686
i686 i386 GNU/Linux

[root at mythtv root]#

I have confirmed that I correctly have the firmware in:

[root at mythtv root]# apt-get install ivtv-firmware

Reading Package Lists... Done

Building Dependency Tree... Done

ivtv-firmware is already the newest version.

0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 removed and 9 not upgraded.

[root at mythtv root]#

When I goto install the kernel modules for my kernel I get the following:

[root at mythtv root]# apt-get kernel-module-ivtv-2.6.7-1.456_4.rhfc2.at

E: Invalid operation kernel-module-ivtv-2.6.7-1.456_4.rhfc2.at

[root at mythtv root]# apt-get install
kernel-module-ivtv-2.6.7-1.456_4.rhfc2.at

Reading Package Lists... Done

Building Dependency Tree... Done

E: Couldn't find package kernel-module-ivtv-2.6.7-1.456_4.rhfc2.at

I checked the following url to verify that my kernel had a version of the
ivtv modules:

http://atrpms.net/dist/fc2/ivtv-experimental/kernel-module-ivtv-2.6.7-1.456_
4.rhfc2.at-0.1.10-37_pre2_ck96i.rhfc2.at.i686.rpm.html

It states that:

This package contains the kernel-module-ivtv-2.6.7-1.456_4.rhfc2.at kernel
modules for the Linux kernel package:
kernel-2.6.7-1.456_4.rhfc2.at.i686.rpm.

If I try and download that RPM and install it directly I get a lot of
undefined symbols.

What am I doing wrong? Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Mike
