[ATrpms-users] ATRPMS Tcl/Tk breaks dependencies

I reported this problem before but got no replies. I did some more
digging and have a bit more information.

When I try to upgrade Tcl/Tk to the latest version on ATRPMs, apt-rpm
wants to uninstall a bunch of Tk-dependent packages:

apt-get install tk
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
  tcl tix
The following packages will be upgraded
  tcl tix tk
The following packages will be REPLACED:
  itcl (by tk)
The following packages will be REMOVED:
compat-db expect koules-svga koules-x11 scsiaddgui tclx tkinter tksysv

Seems like at least some of these packages, like "expect" and
"tkinter", require libtcl8.3.so. But it does not explain everything,
for example "tksysv" shows only "tcl" and "tk" in requires, not any
specific version.

What should I do? Lock down tcl/tk in apt.conf so apt-get does not try
to obliterate my system every time I upgrade?
