As a follow-up, most of the updated drivers require updated i2c code.
This is only know once the modules are build and depmod runs. I
commented out all the affected drivers from the Makefile and came up
with the following list which will compile cleanly:

abituguru3.o
abituguru.o
asus_atk0110.o
coretemp.o
f71805f.o
f71882fg.o
hwmon.o
hwmon-vid.o
i5k_amb.o
it87.o
k8temp.o
pc87360.o
pc87427.o
sis5595.o
smsc47b397.o
smsc47m1.o
via686a.o
vt1211.o
vt8231.o
w83627ehf.o
w83627hf.o

The updated coretemp should support the Intel Atom CPU sensor, but
since the lmxx (i.e. lm90) drivers require i2c updates, the Zotac ION
motherboard's sensor won't be supported.

I'm interested in possible next steps and what would go over well vs.
be rejected. I can try to compile the latest i2c drivers as well as
hwmon drivers to see if everything works well together.
