[ATrpms-devel] Recompiling from src.rpm

Hi, 

I'm looking for some help on recompiling some of the src.rpm's
I have to apply patches and recompile zaptel (I need to enable some
country specific hacks and 
it would be nice to use the ATrpms src.rpm's however from what I have
seen in the mailing list 
one needs to setup source trees etc etc. I would be compiling for EL5
32/64bit, but looking 
arround I can't find any help on what exactly is required on my side to
compile current and 
new versions of libzap-kmdl against the availible kernel source for EL5.

Any help or links to docs would be much appreciated.
