They are deliberately marked as "testing" although they are stable as
I didn't want to replace any RHEL5 package in the "stable" repo. In
this sense the "testing" repo is being abused to differentiate between
users that want no-replacement policy and other that do accept
replacements of vendor packages.

All versioned dependencies are extracted from the upstream
sources. E.g. if it mentions 3.28 as a minimal version, then the
sources will have been requiring this. And as I know the xmltv authors
are quite correct with the versioning, e.g. when they require a
minimal version it is unlikely that an older one could suffice.

Note that "mythtv" is a package pulling in all and everything about
mythtv. If you have the space and bandwidth there is nothing wrong
with that, but if you don't you may want to install mythtv-frontend
and the like instead (depending on the role of the system in
question).
