20060628. With the last one it outputs more numbers.

I agree. But where? I have another computer with a logout button
just beside the enter button. Every time I press it by accident the same
thing happens. It is very annoying. Kde is imune to that, though.

I tried lirc 0.8.0, and generated the rpms for it (including kmdl, you
taught me well). But nothing changed.

But I'd take the repeating mythtv buttons to mythtv/lirc lists for a

Well, as I told you in my other message I think irexec is the problem.
The channel keys of my remote send the button pressed more than one time.
But lirc ignore them. This behaviour is common in certain remotes for make
sure at least one get processed.

This is the output from irw:

0000000061d6906f 00 5 PixelView_PlayTV_MPEG2
5550000000061d6906f 00 5 PixelView_PlayTV_MPEG2
550000000061d6906f 00 5 PixelView_PlayTV_MPEG2
550000000061d6906f 00 5 PixelView_PlayTV_MPEG2
50000000061d6906f 00 5 PixelView_PlayTV_MPEG2
5560000000061d6a857 00 6 PixelView_PlayTV_MPEG2

Note that the button pressed is correct. I pressed 5 five times and 6 one
time.
If I try this with an application running irw only outputs the valid part:

For instance, in the last line I would get:

0000000061d6a857 00 6 PixelView_PlayTV_MPEG2

But the garbage (556) is caught by the application via irexec,
and the result may vary
depending on how it was coded. Why TVtime worked better in FC4 I do not know
(some priority issue?).

I have to mount a serial remote for me and forget the one from my capture
card.
But it is difficult to get the IR transmitter where I Iive, and every time I
travel I just forget to buy it. I will have to order one from the internet
one of these days and hope it works. It is a very inexpensive electronic
component but must be the correct one.

/Paulo Roma.
