[ATrpms-devel] Problems with nVidia driver in FC6

Hi,
unfortunately this is not the "easy" problem that John was having with
the mismatched kernel arch because on my system the driver actually
segfaults during boot with the message you can find at the end of this
mail.
I also tried the kernel module from livna with the exact same result.
The problem I'm having is bigger than just the nVidia driver because I
can't get vesa or nv to work on FC6 either! (and no, the system has not
changed before wiping FC5 and installing FC6).
I've filed a bugreport with redhat with all the relevant info (xorg
conf, xorg logs, dmesg output etc):
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=212432
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
BTW, are kernel modules somehow checked even though there are not loaded
yet? I was mystified that this error appeared even though I turned of
the graphical boot (removed "rhgb" from kernel options in grub) and was
entering into single user mode.
Cheers,
-Tako
