It does, it's the other way around:

rpm -qlp kernel-2.6.16-1.2122_FC5.ppc.rpm | grep /boot/vm
/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.16-1.2122_FC5

You see, it's all already catered for :)

I had thought about /boot/config-* and /lib/modules/*, but both are
not guaranteed to exist in custom packages. vmlinuz isn't guranteed,
too, but it has much higher likelyhood.

But /boot/config-* is OK, just a pity that we are not syncing on our
depedendencies. :/

(there are other Linux platforms like s390/ia64 where the kernel is
named differently and even at a different location. So in general it
makes sense to think of this kernel dependency as arch-dependent)

File dependencies are part of Fedora and even RHL before that for
quite some time, if file dependencies are not respected in the
metadata of the repo then the whole system breaks, not only kmdls
(every ldconfig/scriplet interpreter and the like). Maybe the option
you quote made sense for conectiva once, but never in RHEL/RHL/FC
worlds.

We'll do the account stuff in PM (unless you already have one)
