Official? From where, ATrpms, Red Hat, Fedora or OpenAFS? ;)
It's the only thing that works since several years and that will work
for several more. It's even static-kernel safe, what more do you want? :)

Well, you have a dependency that requires a "feature check" and
another that works w/o. Pick one ;)
Anyway, you do now understand why the openafs' rpm method is broken
and why it isn't kernel-suspend2 that needs fixing, or not? :)
Are you interested in maintaining an openafs kmdl?
