Yeah. the funky svn stuff I do for my mythtv packages are purely for
that. Would never put those hacks into a release package. I'll keep
you posted.

mythtv doesn't depend on ffmpeg -- Isaac keeps a local copy in myth's
source tree because ffmpeg changes so often (there are also local mods
for mpeg2 transport streams). Dunno about mplayer, but I haven't had
any trouble with my copy since I upgraded ffmpeg yesterday.
