Well I asked and the author has no idea what this error means. He has no 
idea what GLIBC_PRIVATE is and what to do about it.

His reasoning (not completely without merit) is: but it compiles without 
any problems, doesn't it?

So could somebody maybe explain to me what this error is about and how 
somebody could go about fixing it? Is it something fixable in the code? 
Or is it a packaging problem on my part?
