[ATrpms-devel] IRC session on #fedora-packaging today on kmdl adoption in Fedora

Hi,

in the past few weeks I have been trying to convince Fedora folks that
the currently used scheme there ("kmod") is broken and that they
should switch to the kmdl scheme.

I've written a lot about kmdls and compared them to the kmod scheme
here:

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/AxelThimm/kmdls
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/AxelThimm/kmdls/kmods_vs_kmdls_at_a_glance
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/AxelThimm/kmdls/voting

It's one of the largest and most detailed writeups of kmdls to date,
so it's definitely a good reading for everyone messing with kmdls :)

If you like to join/watch the session it's at 17:00UTC on
#fedora-packaging on freenode today. It's a tough item and authors of
the previous scheme are not pleased for having it suggested to get
replaced. But I do hope that we'll get somewhere.
