[ATrpms-devel] Synaptic? Smart?

I'm confused as to which package manager I should be running with FC2.
I did a dist-upgrade a while back, and it removed my Synaptic...which I
really liked. :) And still to this day, when I try to apt-get install
synaptic, I get this:

[root at homer root]$ apt-get install synaptic
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
synaptic: Depends: rpm (= 4.3.1) but 4.3.3-8_39.rhfc2.at is to be
installed
E: Broken packages

Will Synaptic return to FC2 anytime? Should I use Smart instead (I
think Smart has a GUI, right?)? How do I install Smart...is it in
testing or something higher than bleeding? ;-)

Thanks!
