I went through that last week :)
First of all, you need i2c package and i2c kernel modules (whatever
your lm_sensors modules RPM is, get the matching one with i2c, also
from AT RPMs).
There are no dependencies, unfortunately, i.e. you have to pick up i2c
modules for install by hand.

As Axel pointed out to me, this happens because i2c_core module is
2.8.4 while i2c-i801 is 2.9.0. New i2c modules will fix that.

It'll make the message go away, I have this link from some time ago.
It probably won't make any difference as far as working of sensors,
you should have the devices already.

That's the version mismatch above, get i2c modules, they do work.
