I finally took some intermediate path. I kept all packages that would
break Jarod's guide in stable and did a rather thorough testing. The
mostly affected package would be yum, which was broken anyhow before,
so placing a non-broken yum in stable was not that much of an
issue. Similar for python24, as it doesn't directly affect the
system. If it were broken it would only break yum/yum20 and smart. And
yum could only gain from going stable as said above, while smart is in
bleeding.
